Dr. Gia Garrasco

Dr. Anamaria Carrasco, warmly known to her patients as Dr. Gia, grew up in Jersey City, NJ. Having spent her teenage years driving around and getting to know the Hudson Valley area, she is excited to be practicing at Valley Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Gia earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and went on to receive both her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Masters in Science and Dental Education at Columbia University. She then completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Gia currently resides in Manhattan. During her free time, she enjoys going for strolls, discovering cozy cafés, and exploring the music scene New York City has to offer. She has wanted to be a pediatric dentist since she was only four years old and looks forward to sharing her love for dentistry with the community, helping children and families feel comfortable, confident, and cared for at every visit!

Favorite color: Cornflower Blue
Favorite children’s movie: The Mighty Ducks or School of Rock – it’s a very tough decision between the two
Go to rainy day activity: Getting cozy with coffee and a movie marathon or a good book
Skills/talent most people wouldn’t expect: I kind of learned how to ride a unicycle when I was young!
If you could have any super-power, what would it be and why? Teleportation! I love to travel, but who has the time?
